London’s Green Transition: Business at the Forefront of Inclusive Growth
On behalf of the Mayor of London, we are pleased to invite you to the event “London’s Green Transition: Business at the Forefront of Inclusive Growth” organised with C40 Cities, taking place on Wednesday March 19th, 2025, at City Hall from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
London’s Green Economy is worth £50 billion and growing faster than the broader economy in 2023. The event will bring together leaders in the built environment, clean energy, and green spaces sectors to discuss the vital role of businesses in fostering an inclusive, equitable, and green transition that benefits all Londoners.
Tackling structural inequalities in London is a key priority for the Mayor. Our new London Growth Plan, which will be launched on 27th February, will set out opportunities to boost sustainable and inclusive economic growth across all of London’s communities. It focuses on creating good jobs and fair pay, while also delivering on net zero goals and strengthening London’s climate resilience. Complementing the Growth Plan is our Inclusive Talent Strategy, which will build on the capital’s skilled workforce, tackle systemic issues across education and employment to unleash the potential of all Londoners and - in turn - London’s economy.
Unlock a pool of skilled talent ready to contribute to your team! Our residents, fresh from completing net-zero bootcamps, bring a variety of skills, ranging from retrofit and trade skills to project management. If you're looking to fill vacancies with motivated and diverse candidates, get in touch to learn more about how these individuals can contribute to your team.
The London Growth Plan is here! The Mayor of London and London Councils have launched the London Growth Plan which aims to boost London’s economy, increase wages and help to create 150,000 jobs.
The Bridge Central London Skills Partnership is a collaboration of 16 further education providers working together to deliver the 2023-25 Central London Local Skills Improvement Fund (LSIF) programme). The partnership is committed to addressing the London Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) priorities, particularly by enhancing the provision of Digital and Green skills throughout London. They believe employers are central to this process, and strive to meet their skills needs by involving them in the co-design, development, and delivery of relevant and up-to-date courses.
This partnership empowers us to collaborate and create programmes to equip learners with the practical skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their lives and careers. We seek opportunities to engage directly with employers, for example, through industry experience, upskilling, work placements, traineeships, and apprenticeships to contribute to the growth of our economy together. The group is supported by Central London Forward (CLF), the Central London Employment and Skills Board and the Greater London Authority (GLA).
We would love to discuss this initiative and explore how we can work to create a robust training programme that benefits employers and learners. Join us at the launch event and hear how you can get involved.
